Timothy Hill is the Director of Marketing at Consilium Investment Management. He has a wide variety of experience in multiple parts of the world, multiple asset classes, and multiple roles. Prior to joining Consilium, Tim was a VP of Marketing for Q – Emerging Markets in Miami. Tim was also the Global Co-Head of Consultant Relations for Thornburg Investment Management, Head of the US Institutional Group at Mirae Asset, and a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers and Neuberger Berman.
Prior to his asset management sales career, Tim spent 12 years in the derivatives world, as a prop trader, risk manager, and institutional derivatives salesperson in multiple asset classes for O’Connor and Associates, Swiss Bank Corporation, ABN AMRO and Kovell Calwell LLC in the USA, the UK and Switzerland. Tim graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics in 1990, where he was President of the Class of 1990.
Mr. Calderon is a Senior Analyst responsible for covering Latin America and parts of Southeast Asia. Mr. Calderon has over 20 years of experience on the buy-side as a portfolio manager and analyst at both institutional asset managers and hedge funds. Prior to joining Consilium, Mr. Calderon was Portfolio Manager for the Latin American fund at Hansberger Global Investors. Before that, Mr. Calderon was the Director of Research at Inca Investments managing all-cap and small-cap Latin American focused funds. Prior to joining Inca, he held positions at Templeton Capital Management, Tribeca Investments, Green Cay Asset Management and Globalvest Management Company. Prior to joining the buy-side, Mr. Calderon was a private equity and mergers and acquisitions banker at Wasserstein Perella & Co. Mr. Calderon was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and is conversant in French. Mr. Calderon is a CFA charter holder and holds a BS in finance and international business from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Mr. Premkumar is a Senior Analyst responsible for investments in EM and Frontier countries in South Asia and the Middle-East. He brings over 10 years of buy-side experience investing in markets across Asia. Prior to joining Consilium, Mr. Premkumar worked as an analyst for Boston-based East Bridge Capital Management covering the firm’s investments in India. Mr. Premkumar graduated cum laude from Yale University in 2003 with a double major in Economics and Mechanical Engineering. He is fluent in Hindi.
Mr. Ryshawy is a Senior Analyst responsible for covering the Indian sub-continent and parts of Southeast Asia. He performs fundamental analysis, including company specific and industry analysis. Prior to joining Consilium Mr. Ryshawy had a long career as a sell-side analyst covering emerging markets such as Latin America as well as global sector research for developed markets including healthcare, IT and conglomerates. Here Mr. Ryshawy achieved a number of awards by Institutional Investor and other surveys. Mr. Ryshawy started his career at DA Campbell covering Latin American conglomerates and media before joining BNP Paribas in New York and subsequently London. Most recently Mr. Ryshawy was Director of Investment Banking and Research for Activa Capital markets in Miami and was involved in a number of cross border capital market transactions. Mr. Ryshawy has an MBA from the Stern School of Business and is fluent in Spanish.
Mrs. Bagao is a Senior Analyst responsible for covering EM and Frontier countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Consilium, Mrs. Bagao worked for seven years as an Investment analyst at INCA Investments, covering various industries in Latin America. Prior to joining INCA Investments, Mrs. Bagao worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Mrs. Bagao graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has a Masters of Science in Finance and an International MBA from Florida International University, and is a CFA charter holder. She is a native of Dominican Republic and is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese.
Mr. Hernandez is responsible for executing all order flow and disseminating pertinent market information to the portfolio managers. Prior to Consilium, Mr. Hernandez spent four years as the Emerging Market and High Yield trader for Standard Asset Management. Before joining Standard Asset Management Mr. Hernandez was the fixed income and equity trader at the Americas Trust Bank. Prior to this, Mr. Hernandez was the senior Emerging Market equity Trader at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and James Capel. He graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Finance. He is fluent in Spanish.
Faisal Ghori is a Senior Analyst responsible for investments in EM and Frontier countries. Prior to joining Consilium, Mr. Ghori was a Senior Analyst at Wasatch Advisors where he covered emerging and frontier markets. Mr. Ghori received a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He has additionally completed graduate coursework at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. Mr. Ghori is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Arabic.
Sangam Iyer is a Senior Consultant responsible for investments in South Asia, as well as global technology. Prior to Consilium, he was a fund manager for Subhkam Ventures, managing equity investments in India. At Alfa Accurate Advisors, he covered all sectors, and prior to that, Sangham oversaw investments in technology, media, telecom and pharmaceuticals in India for Artha Capital, a US-based hedge fund. He also served as an analyst for First Global in Mumbai, where he was rated a “5 star analyst” by Starmine for his coverage of the US semiconductor space. Mr. Iyer received a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangalore Institute of Technology, and a MMS in Finance from Mumbai University’s SIES College of Management Studies.
Qianhua (Tracy) Liu is a Senior Consultant covering China and Taiwan, based in Shanghai. Prior to Consilium, she was a Research Analyst for Kim Eng Securities in Shanghai, covering Industrials. She was also a Research Assistant on China Macro for Sinolink Securities. She has a BSc in Economics and a MSc in New Political Communication from Royal Holloway, University of London. She is fluent in Mandarin and English, and conversational in Cantonese.
Mrs. Novick supervises the operations team and oversees the general administration and day to day operations activities of the accounts. She is also responsible for the compliance monitoring of the accounts and the Adviser. Mrs. Novick has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Consilium, she was the Operations Manager at JPBT Advisers, The Americas Trust Bank and later Standard Asset Management. She holds a BA from the University of Colorado and is fluent in Spanish, Cantonese, and French.
Mr. Maldonado’s primary responsibility is to ensure the proper settlement and accounting of all fund related purchases and sales. In addition, he assists with the general administration of the funds and execution of all order flow and disseminating pertinent market information to the investment team. Prior to joining Consilium Investment Management, Mr. Maldonado worked at United Capital Asset Management as an operations associate in its settlements and accounting department. Prior to UCAM he also worked at RBC Capital Markets and Wachovia Securities with an institutional sales team specialized in fixed income. He holds a BA in Accounting from Florida International University. He is fluent in Spanish.
Ms. Fan is an Operations Analyst, assisting with settlements, other operational matters, and general administration of the funds and SMAs. Most recently, she was a Senior Tax Analyst (Associate) at Capital One Investing, LLC. Prior to Capital One, she also worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an Associate Account Manager, a Pension Benefit Payments Specialist, as well as a Custody Operations Middle Office specialist. She holds a BSc in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, as well as an MBA with academic honors distinction from the University of Texas at Dallas.
